This small town on the banks of the river Hérault, is not a real Roman settlement, but an indigenous agglomeration which became **** diventato di diritto latino **** with the passing of the Via Domitia. The ruins of a large bridge of disputed date are visible, probably a medieval riconstruction on the basis of a Roman bridge.
