The Taurine thermae are at little chilometers from Civitavecchia in direction Est.
There are rests of a big imperial villa and represents one of the most important roman buildings in the  region Lazio. Traiano enlarged a pre-existent republican and augustean villa adding a majestic thaermal complex and other environbments of stay. There stayed also Marco Aurelio and Commodo. Now also, near Ficocella square, not far from taurine thermae and simply reachable from Civitavecchia, it is possible to visit puddles of thaermal waters of sulphurous origin with rests of roman buildings. People of the place praise this waters that seems that have  curative property.
